Sound Level really low in OS Lion

Postby Chains » May 26, 2012 4:42 am

I am running EarMaster 5 on Mac OS X Lion and since upgrading to Lion (10.7) the sound level coming from EarMaster has dropped to a ridiculously low level. ;-(
I can still use the program through headphones and turning the volume level of my headphone jack up but I thought it would be nice to inform you of this issue. I never had this problem while I was running Snow Leopard (10.6).
Could this be looked into and see if a fix can be found. Other than that this is an excellent little program which has been a great help in developing my ear so keep up the good work!! :-D

Hi,

Please start EarMaster and go to the TOOLS menu. In the MIDI OUT section, make sure the volume slider is set to the maximum.

Then under the Instruments tab, set the values for piano, guitar and clap to 127 (the maximum value).

Thanks Quentin, that's sorted the issue. I'd already changed the MIDI Out to full but didn't think about the instruments. 8-|
