Rhythm Reading Wish for EM6

Post by saxmaam » Oct 16, 2011 5:56 am

I don't think this can be done in EM5, and it would be really useful.

You know how those ticks show up as you tap in a rhythm to show how you were late or early? Well I find that I am using them as a crutch and I'd like to be able to not show them until the question is finished.

What do I mean by crutch? Say in real life I am reading in 4/4 and instead of playing a half note I play a quarter note. Then I am off by one beat and that error is likely to continue into the next bars and get compounded by more errors until I am hopelessly out of sync. With Earmaster, I can tell immediately that I was one beat early because the ticks show up just below the music.

What do you think? Can those be disabled during the exercise for EM5? Or have I missed that option in EM5?

Thank you for your suggestion. As far as I know, this is not possible in version 5. I have forwarded your idea to the development team.
