Movable Do versus Fixed Do Solfege

What is the best note naming system for solfege — Movable or Fixed Do? Or should I use Scale Degrees instead?
I understand Movable Do is more common in anglo-german countries, while latin and slavic countries usually adopt Fixed Do (It is, by far, the most used system in Brazil, where I live).
But what system is easier to learn?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each one?
If I learn Movable Do, will it be difficult do switch to Fixed Do if I eventually decide to do so?
I would appreciate any comments on that.

There is a risk that things become complicated if you use both systems. You could, as you mention, use scale degrees for relative ear training and fixed-do solmization more generally, then you would have systems for both needs, just like many people use letter for absolute tone naming and movable-do solfege for relative work.
