melodic/rhythmic sight singing idea

In Melodic sight singing (and rhythmic sight singing) the recording of the answer is not triggered until a sound or midi note is detected by EarMaster. Normally, I don't see this as a problem. However, I have seen some students of mine wait for several bars before doing the exercise so they could st...

Melody Singback feature request

Would it be possible to have a custom pitch range that could follow key changes in Melody Singback? I have developed some lessons for Melody Singback exercises. The workbooks/modules have themes such as “Egypt, Blues, Japan, etc. The exercises are set to a single key. One reason is that the custom k...

Re: Rhythm Error Detection

I would like to add that you could choose other percussion instruments for these exercises. The hand claps are just the default sound.

Re: Feature Request: copy current lesson to Customized Exercise

Thanks Quentin, Off the top of my head, General Workshops - Rhythmic Sight Reading. I've seen students struggle with 1.3 (8th notes and rests) after doing the previous lessons with ease. When this happens, I mimic a variation of this into a Custom Exercise. One approach I take is to cut back on the ...

Feature Request: copy current lesson to Customized Exercise

I have found that it is not uncommon for a student to pass a certain lesson with ease only to find the next one much harder. It is as if there could have been one or more lessons in between the two. I typically try to mimic the lesson as a customized exercise and then find some way to make it a litt...

Re: What is the best way to do melodic Dictation?

I have a couple of ideas for this.

1)You could limit the number of times that you could play back the question. If 1 time seems unreasonable, then set it to 2 (or more) times.
2)You could set a time limit for answering each question.

I would experiment with a combination of these 2 things.
