The actual behavior is this:
I'm doing interval identification exercise
I have one-by-one tone input checked
I click New Question, the question plays.
A gray keynote appears on the staff

I play a note on the piano.

As soon as I strike the key, the piano sends a MIDI note on/v127 message.

I finally did get it to work. Playing the first note wasn't the problem;
actually, it seems to require BOTH notes after all.
But the problem does seem to be related to "'insert."'
I reduced Program Settings-Auto Insert After to it's lowest setting, 600ms.
Then if I hold the note long enough ...

Even thouh the notes show up on the staff and the keyboard when I strike them, it seems they are not beign recognized by the answer analyzer. When I click "Play your answer"after entering, it only plays back C, not the notes I played on the MIDI instrument.

PS--Still having problem with MIDI input. I did find the problem with Piano input--I was not clicking the Show Anwser button after input. But when I do the same thing with MIDI input, I still get Ïncorrect Answer"even though the message and staff and keyboard all indicate I entered the correct notes!

I just installed earmaster on win 7.
I started on Interval Recognition lesson 1.
It does not seem to recognize my "correct" answers. The correct notes appear in the message at the top and on the staff, but the answer is not being recognized as correct.
