Re: MIDI input on Android

Hi,

You are looking for MIDI Input the right place, but unfortunetely it's not availlable on Android. It is planned, but I am not sure where that feature is placed on the developers' roadmap.

Re: Clapping

Maybe Mic input is not enabled?

If you don't see a microphone graphic that fills the lower part of the screen, then Mic inut is most likely not enabled for the current exercise. For example in rhythmic exercises, if you see clapping hands in the lower part fo the screen with the label "Click here ...

The forum is back

We just updated the EarMaster forum, as we needed to switch web server. The positive side is that we're now using an improved verion of the forum. The downside is that we lost a couple of months of posts in the process.

Re: Problem with wrong pitch being recognized

Interesting, thank you for your report. It would be very useful if we could obtain a few recordings of the vowels that are not recognized correctly so that we may do some testing with th e algorithm and optimize it. It would be wonderful, if you have time of course, if you could send a few audio ...

Re: Problem with wrong pitch being recognized

Hi Robin,

Could you please try to sing a different vowel to see if the note is detected correctly?

If no vowel is recognized correctly, could you start a sight-singing exercise, answer a question to an exercise, and then click on "Hear your answer" in order to listen to the audio that EarMaster ...

Re: Practice Vocal Scales with Pitch Curve Active

Hi, you will find scale singing exercises where a pitch curve is drawn as you sing the notes of the scale in the EarMaster course titled Vocal Trainer. It's available as part of the monthly and annual subscriptions, or separately as a one-off purchase.

Re: MacOS - How to reset to the factory settings?

Great the you foujd it! Actually, just deleting the "Setting.da6" file in that folder should do the trick, and it won't erase anything but your settings. Upon the next launch, EarMaster will recreate that file with default setitngs.

Good to hear :)

We have plans to add an automatic latency adjustment. So in the future, you won't have to fiddle around with that timing offset setting.

Re: Clapping

Hi, on Windows, EarMaster uses a micrsoft driver which introduces a lot of latency for audio playback. But it does register your playing wihtout noticeable delay. So the solution is to enable "Silent Input" in the Exercise Options of EarMaster (right side panel while in the exercise). You can also ...

Re: EarMaster Wishlist thread

Yes, some of it is already implemented.. EarMaster reacts to your answers while an exercise is running and adapts its content on-the-fly. There are of course many other ways in which AI could be used ot improve the user experience.

Re: Is there anyway to do the dictation of the chords in the melodic dictation>

Unfortunately no. The only way to work with chords oin the melodic dictation activity is with scores made of multiple voices. But it could be neat to be able to type the chord names when working with lead sheets indeed! I have submitted your suggestion to our feature request list so that it may get ...
