Hi everyone, I’m new here and just downloaded EarMaster. I’ve never really done formal ear training before, so I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the exercises and options.
I’m not sure where to start—should I focus on intervals first, or try some rhythm exercises too? Also, is it better to do short daily sessions or longer sessions a few times a week?
Any advice from beginners or experienced users would be really helpful! Thanks in advance.

Beginner Question: Best Way to Start Ear Training in EarMaster?
Just starting my ear training journey! Excited to learn one note at a time.
Re: Beginner Question: Best Way to Start Ear Training in EarMaster?
Welcome! I would suggest that you complete the Beginner's Course to start with. It will take you through all the fundamentals of ear training and music theory. It follows a well-structured progression made by a very well regarded music professor who was, at the time he designed the course, teaching at a University in Illinois. After the Beginner's Course, you could consider trying the Solfege Fundamentals course if you would like to become proficient in movable-do solfege, or the general workshops.

Welcome! Starting with interval exercises first is usually the best approach because it helps build your listening foundation, and then you can gradually add rhythm practice as you get more comfortable.
