Won't detect microphone

Post by tlt » Dec 23, 2005 1:05 am

HP Pavailion 6645c running windows 98se

Mic into mixer then into sound card. This works in other programs such as Sonar, never had any problem.

No matter what I do, EarMaster 5.0 will not reconize the mic. Midi and everything works fine. But I can't get it to detect the mic.

Please help.

Thanks.

thanks Hans, but that didn't work. I believe I only have one recording device, and that is Crystal Audio Codec.

I can't find any Sounds and Audio Devices Properties in the Windows control panel closest I can find is :

Windows Control Panel/System/Device Manager//Sound video and game controllers/

I am running Windows 98 SE, so mabye the control is called something else.

I am going crazy trying to figure this out.

Anyone else with any ideas how to fix this? Am I the only who can't get the mic to work in EarMaster?

Please help.

Thanks

In Windows 98 there is an option in "Control panel" called "Multimedia" or something like that. Here you can set the default recording device.
