interval comparison (somewhere over the rainbow)

Post by sven » Jan 26, 2006 9:57 am

They say it is easier if you have the beginning of a song for reference (fi: somewhere over the rainbow = octave) I find this to be true.
Do any of you have these references for the other intervals ? Going up AND down ? I need very well known songs...
Thanks a million !!

In the EarMaster music theory help (found in the "Help" menu) you can find a comprehensive list of "template melodies" for both ascending and descending intervals.

First of al, thanks !
I know they are in there but I don't know a lot of these songs, and they are not all (especially descending)covered. Anyone know any 'modern' replacements ?
Thanks !

You know many songs, try to find the midi file and you can check the vocal and do the math
