When the microphone toolbar icon is clicked off (using the space bar) the Play Lead-in exercise option works. However when I try the exercise with the microphone on so I can clap, the lead-in isn't played. What happens is that as soon as I click try again the system immediately starts adding triangles under the notes.
How can I get the system to play the lead-in with the microphone on so I can clap?

It sounds like it is the microphone picking up the metronome as your answer. You can fix this by lowering the volume of your speakers, or even better; use a headset for answering. Does that work better?
