keyboard short cut for selecting 'A' or 'B'

Yes. You can simply press "A" or "B" on your keyboard.

Is this also working in EarMaster 7.0.22 under macOS?

In EarMaster 7 on both Windows and Mac, you can use TAB and the left/right arrows to navigate between the control buttons and the A/B options. Press the space bar to activate the button in focus.

Thanks for the answer. Don't want to sound negative, but tabbing your way through a A/B option is annoying. Once you tab, you also lose the spacebar for immediate repeat of the question, as you have to tab back once you are on an A/B. I understand where this is coming from as you also have questions with more than two options. But for a 2 option question it is so much quicker to just hit either space, a or b on the keyboard. Especially as you are going to answer these questions more than a 1000 times.

If I remember this correctly it used to work like this in previous versions of the software. Could this be re-added to it?
