I have recently updated to the latest version -7.0.12.
I don't see any way to change the notation option on pitch dictation exercises. I would like to select Solfa, but the exercise notes say these can be changed at the "bottom of the App" but there is no "bottom of the App" on my version.
An "App" is usually used for an iPad version, but I have a laptop with the Win 10 64Bit version.
There is a "control" drop down at the bar at the top, but this is greyed out.
Hope you can enlighten me.

Where exactly do you find the "At the bottom of the App" reference? This sounds indeed like a mistake.
To change the tone naming system used in an exercise, you can open the Exercise Options panel by clicking on the burger-shaped icon at the top right of the Window. Then you will have access to a range of options for that exercise.
