Using piano for rhythm drills

Post by Gus » May 25, 2005 9:18 am

It would be nice if I could use the piano for the rhythm drills, its more precise when it comes to rests.

Also, what about a password to prevent any settings from being changed. My students are children and I'm worried that they could mess up the program and be unable to practice for a week. I'm a private teacher and I would/will be using EarMaster Pro, not EarMaster school.

1) To change the "clap" sound in the rhythm drills, just go to the EarMaster Program settings. On the "MIDI instruments" tab you can change the settings for the Rhythm profile. To get a piano sound, set the channel to another number than 10 (which is the rhythm channel), then set "Instrument" to Piano and choose what tone on the piano that should be played.

2) This is what EarMaster School was made for. Here you can set the user rights individually for each user.
