Rithmic imitation

Post by Remcoremcoremco » May 05, 2011 5:04 am

Hi,

I'm having big troubles with rithmic imitation as soon as there is more than one bar. I simply cannot remember the notes. Some misfunction in my brain maybe?

Or is there any advice to improve on this.....

Thanks,

Remco

Maybe you could train to remember two simple bars with for example only quarters and eighths before moving on to harder patterns?

yes, same problem here, with simple rhythms like 4/4 or 3/4 I can go 2 or sometimes even 3 bars ok, as soon 6/8 or something funny comes up, big struggle.

For steady progress the increments of difficulty I increase by are always less than twice as much, often more like 10%-20%. So if 2 bars of something you find easy seems hard maybe if you could says that is twice as hard then you could make the rhythms more simple for the two bars? Although I'm not sure its possible to set different difficulties for varying amounts of bars.

I have the same difficulty, especially with 5 beats per measure. It would be nice if the consecutive lessons could be 10% harder, rather than jumping 100%.
