Singing on a blank score

Post by evanone » Jan 12, 2018 3:16 pm

Hello,
I was hoping to practice sight singing some different music I've got. I really like how when you sing Earmaster maps the pitch onto some sheet music. Is it possible for earmaster to map the pitch onto blank music? Possibly set the time signature and metronome marking yourself so you can self-assess?

Thanks,
Evan

Hi Evan,

That's a good idea, but it's not possible at the moment in EarMaster unfortunately. A way to achieve that would be to use a DAW (digital audio workstation) like Logic, Protools, Cubase, Reaper, etc. with an audio-to-MIDI plugin (or a pitch correction plugin) like Melodyne or Reatune and check the pitches registered by the software after singing them into your mic. I am sure you can get help with that from users of the aforementioned software via their forum.
