Please send an email to support with the exact error message you get (the first EAR50 error) and a description of where you are and what button you press when the error shows up. A kernel error is in Windows not in EarMaster, though the error can be provoked by an error in the program. I can however not make this error happen in Windows 98.

Can you record sound with your microphone in other programs?

This problem has now been solved, it only happened in Windows 98.
Just download EarMaster again.
