This is unfortunately not possible in EarMaster yet. There is no doubt that it would be a great feature, so I guess it will be available in the next version.

Are you using EarMaster on Mac OS or Windows? (and which version?)

Make sure the MIDI input in EarMaster is activated (under the "Answer Input" menu).
Is your MIDI input working in other programs?

Unfortunately, the private folder can't be moved to other locations in the Mac version. But this option is on our to-do list for the next version.
