No, it can't because it is still a melodic dictation exercise, which implies that normally there should be several tones to insert on the visual interface and placed in chronological order, and this can of course only be visualized on a staff, not on the available instruments. But you can still have...

You could maybe try to make a customized exericse where both intervals are included and played melodically and harmonically. Perhaps using template songs to start with might help you memorize each of them, as you suggest.

Hi,
In the training wizard, select "Customized Exercise" and "Melodic Dictation".

Set up the exericse so that it only plays one tone from the Major (Ionian) scale.

Hello Danielle, EarMaster will definitely help you train your "inner" ear, which is probably the most important aspect of being a good singer. The activities in EarMaster are not specifically designed for singers, but rather for all musicians, so even though it is possible to sing your ans...

Hello, If no sound input is detected in the EarMaster Mic setup wizard, then it means Windows isn't transferring the sound from your microphone to EarMaster. You should either select "Microphone" or "All sources/What you hear" in the Windows mixer, not "line in". Please...

As both Logic and EarMaster are trying to access your soundcard at the same time when running simultaneously, this wil cause your system to become unstable. Instead of Logic, you could try to run a Audio Unit instrument (AUi) or VSTi host, and route the MIDI output from EarMaster to it via Patchbay....

Hi,
The "Play you answer" button is greyed-out if you have unchecked the option "play tones on mouse click" from the "Exercise Settings" menu.
Best regards,

Hello Brennon, 1. It is not possible to limit a lesson to one single attempt. However, each attempt by a student will be saved in the results as a specific entry, which will make it easy for you to identify the original first attempt. 2 & 3. This is not possible to gather several exericses areas...

Hi,
Make sure to select the first tone. It is greyed-out=not selected. So if you don't actively click on it, it won't be included in your answer and your answer will be evaluated as wrong ;-)
